Mr. McKinley King has been named the Dean of Students at Taylor County High School! He previously taught social students and coached football at TCHS.
He earned his Bachelor's degree from Western Kentucky University in Social Studies/History and his Master's degree from the University of the Cumberlands in Teacher Leader: School Community Builder. He also has his Rank I in Educational Leadership. Before moving to Taylor County, he taught social studies at North Hardin High School.
He and his wife, Taylor, are expecting TWINS in January 2024!
Mr. Steven McCarol will be teaching math at Taylor County High School! This is his first year in education.
Mr. McCarol graduated from Green County High School in 2019. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Secondary Education from Lindsey Wilson College in 2023 and completed his student teaching at TCHS in the spring.
Mrs. Kacy Pierce has been the ECE recorder at TCHS for the past three years and this year she'll be one of our ECE teachers!
She received her Bachelor's degree in Human Services and Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College and is currently working on her Master's in Teaching in Special Education: Learning and Behavioral Disorders from the University of the Cumberlands.
Mrs. Pierce is a proud 2002 graduate of Taylor County! She and her husband, Daniel, have four kids together: Hunter (13), Hilary (8), and twins Harper and Hana (4).
Mrs. Savannah Floyd is joining the staff at the high school as an instructional monitor! She is a 2017 graduate of Taylor County High School and graduated from Campbellsville University in 2021 with a BSBA.
Mrs. Floyd is also the head coach of the TCHS and TCMS Girls Soccer Teams and just got married in May.
Mr. Dustin Barnes is NEW to his role as ECE teacher at Taylor County High School! He previously worked with our ECE department at the primary center, intermediate school, and Lakeview Academy.
He has his MBA from Campbellsville University and is currently working on his Master's degree in Special Education from CU.
Mr. Barnes is married to his wife, Janet, who is the school nurse at TCMS, and they have two boys: Jackson (5th grader) and Dalton (1st grader).
Mr. Chris Webster joins our staff at Taylor County High School as a PASS Coach!
Mr. Webster received his Bachelor's degree from Georgetown College and his Master's degree from Eastern Kentucky University. He previously worked for Berea College.
Mr. Brian Meier has 27 years experience and previously taught at TCMS but he is NEW to his position as a freshman history teacher at Taylor County High School.
He has been married to his wife, Tonya, for 27 years and both of his children, Kylie and Nate, graduated from TCHS in 2023.
